消防队员sresponded to a four-alarm fire at a Paterson (NJ) apartment complex that displaced 40 residents, according to a news report.Fire photographers Bill and Chris Tompkinsshared several pics from the fire scene.
According to The Record, the fire began in a first-floor apartment and quickly spread through the two-story building’s attic, finally venting through the roof.
The whole building has one common area above the attic, Fire Chief Michael Postorino told reporters. “So once the fire gets into that cockloft it goes straight through. There’s nothing that can stop it.”
About 100 firefighters from Paterson, Passaic, Clifton, and North Haledon responded, and two people were hospitalized.
