- Our department is loosing a lot of experience because the older guys are retiring. We have training issues that are being addressed. Consistant Company schools are not being performed. Many "rookies" don't realize what is expected of them because we do a poor job in instilling the reality of the job. Fire ground performance is poor in most companies because we fight fewer fires than big city departments do. Our training during shifts is hampered greatly because of the amount of EMS call we run.
- Professional Qualifications:
- I have an AAS in EMS and Fire science. I also am a EMS and Fire department instructor. I have been an ALS provider for about seven years.
- Topics you provide training for:
- Any fire (Engine Company) and EMS related topics. I do not teach HTR, Haz-Mat, nor truck company operations.
