Crew Integrity

I am in the need of finding solutions and different viewpoints on a Rescue or Truck company splitting its crew to handle fire ground tasks.

I am a Captain on a rescue company and our staffing varies from 3 to 4 personnel. We, by policy, assume or support truck company operations depending on when we arrive on scene. In the event we have 4 personnel and arrive first or second due we split into a 2 man inside team and a 2 man outside team this is common practice in my area and not…

Seat and Tool Assignments/Fire Ground Efficiency

I have been looking at ways to increase fire ground efficiency. I want to get some info on the different ways fire companies deploy resources on a structure fire.

The Following questions are based on a first alarm assignment. I want to isolate those initially assigned companies because they have the greatest impact on overall incident outcome. I am looking for honest real world answers not ideal situation answers.

Thanks for the add, Erron. We met briefly last year at FDIC. We discussed the fitness webinar you did for FE a couple years ago. Maybe we'll run into each other again this year.

Stay safe brother.

Hey Bro of course! I am working on some research rihgt now for my fitness class at FDIC there are three options I recommend for what you want! You can do a conventional 5 day a week weight lifting program plus cardio for weight loss, Do P90X, or a Punch kettle bell work out routine! I think the Punch Kettle Bell program is best because it allows you to build lean body mass, push your cardiac threshold and increase flexibility in a 30 minute high intensity routine 2 to 3 times a week with moderate recovery exercise on the off days. Of course what ever you choose for your workout program diet is extremely important I would suggest seeing a nutritionist! Forward me your email address and I can send you some more information!
