Bio:
As many of the people in the fire service, I got my career started when I was in diapers. I am a fourth generation fire fighter. My family has been fighting fires since 1933. I joined a combination department at 16yrs old, as a Jr. fire fighter. At the age of 18 I became a volunteer fire fighter. When I turned 19 I was accepted into an internship program with a combination department in Madison, Wisconsin. I lived in the station and was assigned a full-time shift. Throughout the three years, I obtained my Paramedic license, Fire Fighter II certification, CPR instructor and various other certifications. Most of all, I was able to be a part of and involved in many fires. From single family residence to large apartment buildings, I am proud to have been a part of those incidents.
After getting married, my wife and I moved to Tennessee, getting a fresh start for ourselves. I spent a year at the Spring Hill Fire Department in and am now with the Franklin Fire Department, just south of Nashville.
What keeps me humbled at my young age (with my experiences) is to know that there are at least a hundred other guys out there that not only want my job, but can perform it better than i can!
I hope to stay motivated, expanding my career and becoming a contribution to the fire service on a wide scale.
