hey thanks for the invite to show me around Shirley...i'm not much of a radio guy...i know enough to push the button and talk...but just yesterday we were working a fire and the engine making water supply couldnt talk to the fire attack engine...they were less than 1/4 mile apart...oi...coulda been bad if someone was actually interior and in trouble...so from that working standpoint...im interested...i'l be in touch

Shirley
Anthony Avillo has posted a request for help and I suggested you. He is a good friend and is looking for information on training dispatchers. I told him I thought you were the best and could give him some guidance.

Hey Pal
Are you going to start a communications group?
At 10:54am on March 10, 2008,Frank Riccisaid…
Shirley, do you dedicate a dispatcher to monitor the fire ground radio, this is so important. They are often the only one to hear a firefighter calling for help, yet many departments do not train their dispatchers in fire operations, join our group and start a discussion. We could use your input check out and sign up for our group, Tactical Building Blocks & Air Management
This group will focus on aggressive interior firefighting. We will address tactics that increase your chance of not getting jammed up and cover what actions to undertake if you do.We will cover some big issues as well as small tactical tips.
