Bio:
I began my emergency services en devours as a Member of Newburgh IN. Volunteer Fire Dept. from 1980 to 1992 then I moved to Evansville IN. Then I joined German Township Volunteer Fire Dept. during my time at Newburgh I became an Indiana First Responder and then I became an Indiana Emergency Medical Technician during this time wanted to broaden my experience level increase my Emergency Services Education.
During this time I worked for several private ambulance services,Response provider, serving from EMT to Infection Control Officer to Shift Supervisor, I also was employed with Posey County EMS the 911 EMS service for Posey County in extreme southwest Indiana.
I joined Wayne Township Fire Dept. in Indianapolis IN. in 1990 Serving as an EMT at Wayne Township Company 2 and later at Company 1, I had achieved the rank of EMS Lt at Company 1. just prior to my Medical Retirement. I already had small town and township and rural fire and EMS experience during my tenure at Wayne I was able to see a great difference between Small Town & Township and Big City and large Township operations, at the peak for Wayne Township Fire Dept'.

Wayne Twp. had 35 pieces of apparatus running out of 5 stations. I really enjoyed my time & service to Newburgh, German Township Evansville & Wayne Township (Marion County IN) I felt lucky to have been able to see life from three separate views.
During my Emergency Services Career I had two Fire Chiefs that were mentors for me, They were the late Victor Eugene (Gene) Smith of the Newburgh Volunteer Fire Dept. and Chief John M. Buckman III of the German Township Fire Dept. Evansville IN. Both of the Fire Chief were Roll Models for their Fire Dept's and communities Chief Smith and Chief Buckman would not ask you to do anything that they wouldn't do, they both had a hands on approach to running their Dept's, always taking time out of their busy schedules to work on training issues it didn't matter if it was with a veteran member or the newest rookie they always had time for their firefighters.

On January 1 1998, I retired from the fire service, then in 1999 I renewed my EMT certification for the final time. I am employed with Clarian Health Partners / Indiana University Medical Center, Methodist Hospital of Indiana I work in the capacity of Supply & Equipment Logistics Coordinator for the Cardiovascular & Adult Pulmonary Clusters.
I also currently serve on the Methodist Hospital Emergency Management Sub-Committee, I am currently studying for my Amateur Radio Technician License.
