Bio:: Agbili Martin O., attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, where he obtained a Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (B.Eng) and majored in Power & Machines. He is currently a senior officer working at the Headquarters of Anambra State Fire Service, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria as the Officer Incharge of Training and Fire Statistics. He is a member of some professional bodies namely; National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) in view, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and Junior Chamber International (JCI).

FIRE SERVICE IN NIGERIA

Fire Service in Nigeria was established by the Fire Service Act (law) of 1963 and since then has not been reviewed. Fire Service today in Nigeria is still the only statutory organization established by law to undertake or render services as regard to fire and its related cases. These services include fire fighting, fire prevention, search and rescue services, humanitarian services etc.
