One Dead in San Jose (CA) House Fire, Cause Under Investigation

Feb. 24—One person died in a house fire in San Jose on Wednesday night, authorities said.

消防队员反应to a report of a structure fire at a single-family residence at 9:36 p.m. on the 200 block of North Seventh St., where officials pulled one person from the building, San Jose fire officials said.

The person died at the scene. The fire was under control at 10:10 p.m., fire officials said.

San Jose Fire Department’s arson unit is investigating the cause of the blaze.
